There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Questions regarding my route home from Valcourt

Leaving Valcourt to return home in WA State, I'm taking the Transcanada Highways 17 and 1 thru the southern part of the provinces to Medicine Hat Alberta. From there I think I'll take Hiway 3(The Crowsnest Highway) to Hope B.C. Looking at the maps, it appears there will be ample places for gas for my 2013RT and it's range limits(for me 50 -125 mi). Anyone familiar with this hiway? Do I need to carry an extra gas can? If I don't then there is more room for other stuff. My wife and I are riding two up so we are limited on storage space. Also, what about lodging? We will have to lay over at nite on that route. Looking forward to your comments.

TravelledTravelled this route last year.No problems finding fuel or accommodations.....get a good map.It's a great Road.!

We did similar traveling the Alaska Highway. Since we did not know where we going to end up on a daily basis, that kind of messed up making reservations in advance. About two to three in the afternoon, we would start thinking about where to stay for the night. We always found something. Prepare for "rustic" in places, and you will not be disappointed. We only ran into one place where gas was more than 100 miles between stops. To be safe, carry a spare can. If you have it, you most likely will not need it. Reverse Murphy's Law. :roflblack: Have an enjoyable and safe trip. :yes:

I live not very far from Highway 3 and you will not have any problem with gas or lodging. In addition, it is a very nice ride with good scenery and in pretty good shape. As suggested, use a good map and just get gas when needed or when available.
My wife and I will be going and coming that way when we go to Valcourt.
If you need or want any additional info about the route, just ask.

Thank you for your positive feedback. Sounds great to me. I'm looking forward to the ride. Never been on that route in a car or bike. Thanks again.

Hello;
Have travelled across Canada and mainly the prairie provinces many times, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta & British Columbia, Beautiful ride. You may find some areas about 30 to 40 miles apart for fuel and accomodations so travel accordingly and you should have no problems. I usually try to fill when the tank is around half full and never have a problem in areas I am not sure of. Have a good trip.
