• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Questions on the touring windsheild on RS

Just installed large touring windshield on RS. Not sure I like those little air deflector mounted on the side. Any opinions?

When I had my RS these were my formula.

Warm/Hot = Removed
Cool/Cold = Installed

:agree:

They are awesome when it's cold out. They keep the wind off your thighs. But when it gets warm, you need to take them off or you will roast. They also change the vacuum pressure behind the shield. Good/Bad:dontknow: you'll have to deside that.

can you show us the windshield?

This is the shorter version. Never put the air wings on...

And yeah, there's a vacuum behind the shield. Better belt your rain jacket down!

I live in north east Ga. and I use the BRP sport/touring windshield on my 2011 Spyder RS-S. I going to use it in the summer and I going to by a touring windshield for the winter. I drove one with a touring windshield last winter kept most ot the cold air off my hands. That's IMHO.

the air deflectors were amazing when it was below freezing here, but the back pressure they created always left me smelling like exhaust. Ill definately put them back on when the temps drop again. As far as looks go, not so much, and they like to eat paint.

I find them ugly and they increase the time needed to remove panels for maintenance. Took them off and left them off.

I never put them on but may try them if it gets *really* cold next winter. I find the windshield by itself blocks as much wind as I really want. In fact, for hot Arkansas summers it blocks too much and I put my sports windshield back on.

Well thanks everyone. Since it's 90 going on 100 most days in NC I think I will do without them.
I rode my Nomad in 35 degree weather and managed, so I should be alright. They are ugly too.
