• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Questions about ryker fuel overflow locator

Hey all, I keep seeing youtube videos about doing a ryker fuel overflow locator mod. It doesn’t seem like a hard mod and its pretty cheap. But my question is why? Has anyone who isn’t selling these kits actually done the mod and why did you do it. I have owned my 19 ryker rally for 2 years and have never had any issues or a desire to relocated the fuel overflow valve. Have others had this issue?

The fuel neck overflow on my 2020 was sufficiently long. Had it not been, additional hose connected with a barbed connector would have been more than adequate. The only times I had overflow was due to a high flow pump at the filling station.

The only reasons I did it was because it looked like a good "ounce of prevention" mod and I already had all the necessary parts (I used vinyl tubing and nylon barb from my winemaking equipment).

The way the current over flow hose is located, it has the potential to splash gas on some of the plastic around the right tire, and as you know, gas and plastic do not play nicely together. This mod extends the hose farther under the Ryker and directly onto the ground. I'm not so sure I like the thought of gasoline fumes building up under the bike and mixing with the heat of the engine/exhaust.

Over 50 years of riding, I've NEVER overfilled a tank but I'm getting pretty old and it may happen one day.

Like others, I've never overfilled a motorcycle gas tank. That being said, I think adding some fuel line to lower the current overflow hose is a great idea. But not for $30 like others are selling them for. It's a $5 fix and a bit of time wrenching on the Ryker.

I was used to topping off the tank on motorcycles, but I found with my Ryker when the gas nozzle shuts off, don’t try to top off. Every time I did that it would overflow.

I got one for my Ryker rally to come (anxiuously awaiting delivery) and figured rather safe than sorry. Since it is such a cheap mod.

My 2019 Ra;;y has overflowed when i tried to top off the tank. However, the placement of the overflow tube from the factory doesnt appear to dump fuel on any of the structure

Apparently the factory is not consistent in the overflow tube length. Additional length may not be necessary.
