• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Has any one removed the Can am decals from the upper side panels and what condition were the panels in under the decals? Thank you.

I used a heat gun and peeled them off with ease but the adhesive used left a residue. I got that off with alot of goo gone and elbow grease. The panels came out great.

:agree:

All the stock badging is gone from mine. Used a little isopropyl alcohol to get off any remaining residue. Panels were in perfect shape, with no indication the badging was ever there.

I used dishwasher soap for the panels, and like you, elbow grease. The only decal I left on was the BRP badge in front.

I used my Wife's hairdryer, And a little Goo Gone. Worked like a charm:thumbup:
But i did find out later and in no uncertain terms, That a Wife's hairdryer should NEVER be used by me for any reason whatsoever in my garage. :yikes:

And, neither should any of her scissors.

You mean my wife wasn't "normal" when she let me rinse the gunk off those Bultaco cases in her kitchen sink?:dontknow: Or, when I used to heat those same cases in the oven to get them apart? ;) She does bitch a little, if I forget to bring back the Dawn dish detergent, when I clean up a greasy engine.:lecturef_smilie: I just tell her that if God hadn't meant for guys to degrease engines in the kitchen, He wouldn't have created Dawn!:roflblack: Hey, it was her own sister who told her about all the good things that Dawn could do.:ohyea:

Just don't rebuild the motor in the living room, and everything will be okay.

Growing up in Michigan, my uncle had a Harley that spent the winter months in the dining room. It was usually torn apart at one time or another during the stay indoors. :D
