• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

:mad:I'm wondering if anyone else here has had this happen to them? Was on a road trip today with 4 others ( me being the "Porch Dog" or tail gunner) road captain does a quick stop and runs back to me and asks what T H was the problem? The only answer I could come up with was there aint no problem Life is good. he told me my headlights were going off for 4 seconds and on for 2 then off for 10 seconds and on for 5. Happened about four times in a five mile stretch. So I asked the guy right to my front to keep an eye on them and let me know what was up when we got to destination. he said they didn't blink on and off after the quick stop BUT, they dimmed about 70% and stayed that way. Anyone else having that problem?

In the daylight the projector style lights on the RT and RS can appear to traffic ahead to turn on and off...or even change colors. It is an optical illusion as the point of focus, or the cut off top of the beam on low beams, passes their eyes or flashes in their mirrors. Most motorcycles show flickering of the headlights as the lightweight vehicle bounces down the road. With the concentrated beam of the Spyder, that effect is magnified. The best cures are proper aiming of the headlights (those that flash are usually aimed a bit too high), and riding with the high beams during the daytime.

The RTs have an unusual "feature" the appear to wink out or change from an observer's POV.
It is, I think, because of the way the lens highly focuses the light.
Thanks Roger that is what I suspected as I have seen no problem with them but bike is going in Tuesday for frunk electric lock repair/replace so I guess I'll have them check that out too.

Thanks, all makes sense to me. Will have them checked Tuesday along with the electric frunk Lock, and a couple other minor issues. I didn't mention the road captain on trip was 73 years old and way up there. So we'll have his eyes checked too..hehehe thanks for the info- This site is OUTSTANDING. I do appreciate you all on here so much.....

Well..!!

the color changing is more fun. Have had people think your a police vehicle with flashing lights..just tell them there is nothing wrong with your lights, it's their rear view mirrors..!! :roflblack:
