• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Question on rental storage unit sizes...

I'm moving, and will need a rental storage for the winter months. I checked, and they have 5' x 10' and 10' x 10'. I tried to get a close measurement of the front of my 2008 GS. It appears to be almost 60". Does anyone who has/had a GS and stored it in one of the U-storage facilities know for sure if it will fit, or not.

I have the GloRyder casings on right now. If need be, I'll take them off.

WELL - MAYBE

The problem as I see it is, not your measurement but theirs. Also Is the door opening EXACTLY the same as the interior measurement ????.....if even an inch less !!! :yikes: ........ just some thoughts ...... Mike

:agree: Just to be safe: it'd be much better to take the 10x10 storage area...

The listed width for an RS is 59.3"...

Stored my 13 STS last winter in a storage facility. I had to get a 10x10. Even then it was a tight fit front to rear. Left to right the door is more like an 8 foot opening. I honestly don't think you will fit in a 5x10

The actual door opening is just over 47"; the inside space is 5'. You and mike are correct; I'll need at least a 10' x 10'.

Get a good lock for the unit and do whatever you can to lock up the SPyder even more....wheel locks, heavy cable and cable through all the wheels....whatever.

These rental units are burglarized A LOT ! They may not break into yours, they will break into a unit and then tunnel through the walls to access the others. Don't rely on the facility for security....rely on yourself.
