• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Question on removing a Bright Chrome Rear Footrest Support

So I have this in chrome on both sides. I would like to remove them so I can paint them black. But with them tied into the frame, is this possible without taking any of the bars off?

Not real sure how to proceed. I appreciate any guidance.

Mask off the area not to be painted, prep the chrome and spray on the paint. It would help we knew what model F3 and photos. I like the chrome accents on my F3L, so I am not understanding this all black thing. I guess it's a generational thing.

Obviously painting with them off makes it easier. But I can do it this way. I have a car chromed and white and looks great. I am not liking it on the bike. It is an 18 F3L. I am close to 50 years old and just love that all black look.

Chrome is hard to paint, My son didn't like the stripes on his comaro, so he used some temporary spray, like Plastidip or something similar.
Just throwing it out there. Lasted several years till he sold the car.

Was going to use pounded metal on it. Definitely much better than standard paint. At least, I hope so.
