• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Question on passenger seat sensor

Today I replaced my stock seat and installed a comfort seat. Everything went fine except I have a question of the passenger seat sensor connector. After the new seat was installed and putting everything back together I was having trouble getting the passenger seat sensor to lock back together. Here is my question. When I disconnected the connector from the bike there was an orange plastic thingy and like a rubber seal. I was trying to get all back together and it was not lock in place. So what I did was put everything back together except the orange plastic thingy. My question is what the heck is that orange plastic thingy for?????

I'm going to ride some and see how the new comfort seat feels and will check back later to see if anybody has an answer to my question. Can't miss going riding when the temps outside are almost 60 degress. Tomorrow suppose to be only in mid 20's for the high. See ya later.

Could it be a gasket to keep dust and water out?

It is the gasket to make the connector waterproof. Might need to put a small amount of lub on it then push it in until you hear or feel the connector lock in place.

You probably ought to put that back up in there ... After all; don't you want the passenger ejector seat to function properly?? :dontknow: :D
