Question on Oi lChange

I just traded my 2015 ST Limited for a 2015 RT Limited. On the ST you change the transmission filter with every oil change. After reading the book for the RT it says change the transmission filter at 24000 miles. Is this right? Is it replaced at the first 3000 miles or just wait for 24000 miles. Thanks

You are dealing with different engines for the RT versus the ST so the overall maintenance schedules are different

I believe you are referring to the Hydraulic Control Module (HCM) oil filter and page 121 of the operator's guide says it is replaced every 28,000 miles. Only the engine oil filter is changed at the 3,000 mile service.

Here's the thing..!!

on the 1330 semi automatic the transmission filter is inside the engine clutch cover. They do not change it at the 3,000 mile service so you have to have it done at the specified time in your manual. Not sure when that is but thought it was at 28,000 miles.:dontknow: they also have the longer intervales for oil changes like 9,000 miles. This I would not adhear to..jmo
