• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Question on ISCI Handbrake

For those who have installed this on their Spyder, have you changed out the lever to a short-reach lever? Which one did you choose?

Dupe.....

You can delete the general forum thread. But here's my reply to the other post

I would not recommend the shorty lever if the ISCI is your main braking system. You need full leverage and all fingers to make it work best. Shorty levers work well for clutches especially vacuum assisted ones and dual disc single wheel front brakes like street bikes and off road bikes...

IIRC from another thread here, someone installed a SHORT REACH lever with the ISCI kit. For small hands, not the typical "shorty" lever found on two wheeled bikes. Is there an adjustable reach lever out there from HD that fits? It looks to me the master cylinder is a HD part.

I did and LOVE it!

I have the handbrake and I have changed out the short-reach lever and I love it! It's black instead of chrome or silver and I love the reach. I have small hands and I am very glad to have swapped out the handle. ;)

How about some specifics......like where you got it, what the part number or name is and the price ??
If it is the one available from ISCI then......never mind.

also I am wondering on this topic

i have the standard sized one--but feel its just too far away for my smaller reach/hands

A little help please.

Discussion of the "short reach" levers is good but..............
Now I have the setup installed and NEED a different lever.

Could those of you who have already done this PLEASE provide some specific information for the rest of us.
