• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Question...has any guy ridden passenger with their girl/wife 2-up?

My answer is NO and it has nothing to do with the sex of the other driver/rider. I can count on my fingers the number of times I have ridden as a passenger in/on any vehicle and I have driven everything from 2 to 18 wheels. To be honest it scares the :cus: out of me being a passenger. Last time I was a passenger was a bus ride from VA to TX and rode on 4 buses on that trip because 3 of them wrecked. :yikes:

I had to laugh at this one. I was a DOD Courier and flew on lots ofUSAF and Civilian planes Regular trip across the alantic On Pam AM). The worst passenger on these flights were off duty pilots. On the USAF flight it was worse when the pilots were qualified to fly the same plane.

When my Harley was running like crap on our way home,I left it at my wife's parents house.
Reluctantly I rode on the back with her for 30 miles.She was kind enough to stop and let my drive the rest of the way home.
All the way back she was telling how to ride it!

Another occasion was when we went on vacation a few weeks ago.I rode on the back with her to a restaurant so I can can drink.

YEP, when hubby drives mine I tell him when to shift etc. he hates it, he rather be the passenger. We have the RT Semi auto.

I wonder how many 2013 RT-S models were sold, and how many are having issues. I haven't had a bit of trouble with mine, and I purchased it 2 months ago and now have over 1k miles on it. I live in Texas and back when its was hot I rode it just to see if I had any issues, which I didnt have any. There has to be something that the Spyders having issues have in commen.

:shocked::hun:

Some men refuse to ride passenger on a bike, but have no trouble being passenger in a cage (cage). I have been passenger in a car with both my daughters, and my wife. Like others, I don't see the issue for either.

Also, as for a male behind me. That would not bother me either.

After 42 years of wedded bliss I would rather be a passenger with her driving so my blood pressure would come down 10 points. LOL

42 years!?! :thumbup::firstplace::bowdown:
54 years here.:ohyea:

I'll ride behind any safe driver (but missourigirl doesn't drive the Spyder at all...) and numerous guys have ridden behind me. We're having fun, not ego-pouts, and... and... and...

I'm just like the farmer's duck:
Web-footed and... if it don't rain I'll walk!

Heck, I've ridden behind my own daughter on her Honda RancherAT 420cc 4-wheeler. That thing will honk on!!

Yes

Yes my husband rydes as a passenger and also drives, hubby and I trade off as he like to sight see instead of paying attension to the road when we are on trips, some times he just gets tired of driving and wants to be the passenger and relax.
2 of my sons and my son in law also ryde as passenger.
:yes:I know of another couple that we do rydes with share the driving duties as well when out on rydes.

Passenger

OK-- I'm retired -- still do side work -- also , to lighten wifes load as she is 14 yrs younger than me and will be working for a few years yet, I do the house cleaning-shopping--laundry-- but I refuse to lose another "MAN CARD" by being a passenger on my own Spyder-- NO WAY -- (which means I will be buying her one in the spring)

90-10

Life is 10 percent what happens to you and 90 percent how you react to it.
I'm impressed by the number of riders in this post who are not intimidated by what others might think, or feel emasculated by where they sit on a roadster.:yes:

This past summer Mike and I took my 2012 RT-S SE5 up to Walt's, ( near the Canadian Border in Vermont) I drove and Mike was a passenger. Deanna777 :ohyea:
