There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Question...has any guy ridden passenger with their girl/wife 2-up?

Since I'm on here and not my hubby I'll answer for him. He has a Harley but has occassionally riden as passenger. Like when we drove 18 hours for a BBQ over Memorial Day weekend. We took my spyder so we could have 2 drivers. I started out driving until it got really dark, then he took over. He appears to be very confident in his sexuality that it doesn't bother him......except one time when we were going to a HOG meeting. He jumped off the spyder almost before I came to a complete stop. He knew those guys would give him crap. Fortunately only one guy was on the patio. It's actually me that doesn't want him back there. I don't want a back seat driver.

dave and norma

my friends Dave and Norma ride a harley superglide, she's a retired teacher and he's a massuese. mind you hes completely blind, but he loves riding on the back and in fact navigates. how he knows which roads for her to take is beyond me but the only time they ever have problems is if there's new construction!

Ok I'll chime in, husband likes to drive his Yamaha, I like my spyder, I don't like to be on the back of his anymore because the seat is awful, he doesn't like the spyder for some reason his knees hurt when he drives or rides we don't know why (any thoughts anyone why his knees start to hurt in either spot) now when we stop at the hotel when traveling and going out for dinner we take the spyder because this way either of us can drive, he let's me drive saying it's my bike. I think he would like the back seat more if he was comfortable. We've moved the foot rest and that doesn't seem to help.

With a friend

I don't mean to sound chauvenestic, but this question arises from a comment my girlfriend made to me a month or so ago, and i've been wonderin' ever since. She offered to drive the Spyder coming home from a lengthy trip to give me a break (she said it half jokingly) and I vehemently said "no, thank you". When she asked why, I realized it was merely because I didn't feel "comfortable" in the passenger seat with her driving because of image related reasons. Although there is nothing wrong whatsoever with a man being driven on a motorcycle by a woman, I have never seen it...which is what brings me to my question. Have any of you guys out there been the passenger when riding 2-up with your better half? Has anyone seen this on the road(s)?
I was on the back of a friends new RT for a few rides right after she bought it. She was very good with with her new Spyder and I was really comfortable back there. It was kind of neat being able to just sightsee, and I didn't have any problems with her being the pilot and I being the GIB.

My wife is the one that got us started on the spyder addiction she really wanted one and of course I encouraged her to get one a couple of years ago she bought a new 2011 RT and we took turns driving and I don't mind when she drives as she is a very good driver and it is nice to just enjoy the scenery some times. This year i decided to get my own so I bought a 2013 STL

When my Harley was running like crap on our way home,I left it at my wife's parents house.
Reluctantly I rode on the back with her for 30 miles. She was kind enough to stop and let my drive the rest of the way home.
All the way back she was telling how to ride it!

Another occasion was when we went on vacation a few weeks ago.I rode on the back with her to a restaurant so I can can drink.

This senerio is the only thing that scares me......... Two guys, Spyder, air mattress and deep woods :roflblack::roflblack:sita mattress 002.jpg

My limited experience...

Have offered many men a ride and the majority react as if I was offering a vasectomy .. :yikes:. But one HD dude with his tats, chains, vests, and heavy HD boots jumped on back and as we went through town (there was a rally in area)..he was waving, smiling and saying wow if I'd known riding B**** was this much fun....
Yep I don't understand the PRIDE/thinking thing attached to alot of men...last fellow I offered a ryde to was an older HD trike rider who because of limited physical agility can no longer ride...maintains he LOVES to ride...aaaaaa what I see is someone who loves to drive, control, look good to his buddies....whoops that sounds like Judgment Murphy...knock it off..:yikes::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:. I say...real MEN will embrace the opportunity..kinda like real men eat quiche...:roflblack::roflblack:

Deal

I have watched all these posts for several months  They can be very informative and at times very funny.

It was very nice to meet you as well. I am sorry that I did not get a chance to meet your girlfriend. Perhaps we can schedule a ride and you and Spyder Tony can both be passengers :roflblack:
Love it!

The spyder is mine, so I do most of the driving. Don rides on the back all the time. All the ladies we pass seem to love him on the back because they clap, laugh and give us the thumbs up. Some of the guys also give a big grin and give a thumbs up but a lot of guys just stare with that look like wtf? Sometimes we get the thumbs down from HD riders. None of the reactions bother us, as long as we're happy, why would we care what others think?

If Don (and you!) both have a good sense of humor; he can tell anybody who questions him about it that he can "girlwatch" from back there, and you don't have to know a thing about it! :roflblack: :2thumbs:

Some men refuse to ride passenger on a bike, but have no trouble being passenger in a cage (cage). I have been passenger in a car with both my daughters, and my wife. Like others, I don't see the issue for either.

Also, as for a male behind me. That would not bother me either.
