• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Question for trailer owners/users...

bustec has two harness connectors.
1. for the bustec plug.
2. for the 4 wire std trailer flat plug.

both bustec connectors do have isolators. Thereby eliminating feedback or problems with the spyder harness.

At least that is what I think and I have installed both.

Thanks for the replies, sounds straightforward - having a trailer for the long trips would be real nice......my list continues to grow! :ohyea:

When we hooked up Rando's trailer lights, we just used a harness that he picked up at uHaul. It appeared to have an isolator built in so we just followed the directions to tap into the proper wires on the Spyder and it worked fine. Maybe Rando will see this and comment on if the wiring is still working and he can say exactly what harness they sold him at uHaul.

According to Samuel at Bushtec, the Hoppy WILL NOT WORK properly with the Spyder. He is the one that told me to get the one from U-Haul. Product # 13486. It was $16.95.

Brian, your still DA MAN! The lights are working perfectly!

By the way, Bonnie took her motorcycle road test on her Spyder yesterday and passed! She was VERY excited!

I have the Hoppy on my Spyder and it works flawlessly. So I don't know what he's talking about.
