There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Well since I no longer have my Viper Red Spyder I pealed off the red plasti dip from my helmets. I now have a 2014 in Cognac, so here is the question, Plasti dip makes a Blaze Orange and a Copper Metalizer, do you think I could get the burnt orange look using the blaze orange and then a light coat of the copper metalizer?

All inputs are appreciated

Did that they said they did not know and to just put the question out there to see if someone else may have

mixing colors

Try this:
Use the 2 cans at the same time, spraying back and forth to get the color you want. Works with normal paint - give it a shot. Try experimenting on a piece of cardboard. Once you master the technique, mask off and spray the helmet. Worst case, peel off!

How do you do this? Spray can? Brush? Sponge? How?

I have use the spray can and it has worked well. I sprayed the clear plastic wind deflectors on my ST. There was always visible dirt, water spots between the deflector and the body. Looked like hell. I only painted the surfaces I could not wash and masked everything else to stay clear. Looks great now. Glossy because the surface was glossy. It can get as dirty as it wants behind there now and I can't see it.

Cool. I understand. I am going to get some tomorrow to experiment with. This sounds like it is going to be fun.

Thanks Billy for a great idea. I had a can I'd bought last year for some other project so I took your idea and painted the outside of the clear plastic adjustable wind deflectors. Put three coats on. For any that want to try this, I used some of that blue painters tape around the back edge to keep any run off away, and then sprayed a coat, laid them in front of a small heater and it dryed in 10-15 min between coats. Mine came out sorta flat to semi-gloss and looks nice on the white RT.

This is going to be soooo cool! I have an old helmet. I sanded it today with 600 grit. I taped it up, and will inspect my taping job tomorrow. My plan is to put 4 coats of the metallic aluminum on it and 3 coats of glossifier.

Only question I have left: should I sand between coats?
