I am approaching the 14,000 mile service on my 2013 RTS SE5. The service manager at my dealer says the cost is about $2,000.:yikes: He says the big ticket items are the valve check and replacing the bearing seals and wear sleeves of the rear axle. I understand that the valve clearance adjustment can be postponed. I do not see any problems with the tracking on the belt (symptom of wear sleeves). I want to maintain the Spyder, but at that cost, I need to save a little money. Can I postpone the rear axle bearing and wear sleeves? Is this a fair assessment of the cost for the 14,000 mile service?
