• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

OK I just have to ask.. I was cleaning up the spyder after getting it back from the dealer and for the first time I noticed after I lifted up the seat near the back of the seat under neath the area where the passenger would sit there are 3 wires actually going into the seat--again from the bottom,,, The plug into a recepticle just above the battery, not actually plugged into the battery but just above it,, The colors of the wires are:::

RED
BLUE
GREEN

What the heck are these wires and why are they (what seems to look like anyway)attached to the bottom of the seat? Confussed in MO...

Thanks in advance if you can answer this one cause I have NO IDEA..
Joe

PS: I hope I explained this in a manner that you can understand, if you need any more info on what I am asking please let me know and I will try to explain it a bit further..

Just a guess. But do they go to the sensor which changes the ABS sliightly based on whether or not you have a passenger or not??

Maybe, kind of makes since but its the first time I had ever saw it,, Still confused lets see what other members come up with but I guess its possible right?? Heck I don't know brother..
Joe

Yes, it is connected to the Pillion Switch that detects if a passenger is on board. If it senses a passenger it increases the rear brake pressure since there is more weight over the rear.

j45p3r: I never thought of that till DynamoBT mentioned it,, Yeh it looks as though it kind of just plugs into the seat.. Pretty High Tech I guess, I thought for sure I would have seen that before and wondered what it was but I didn't intill today.. Thanks a bunch folks and sorry for asking such a question but I had to ask because it was kind killing be wondering.. Again, Thanks folks.

Yea, when I put my comfort seat on I had to transfer the switch (rather large round flat switch) to the new seat.

I happen to be passing thru the shop and saw your very distinctive spyder.
As I passed I patted the rear seat and it began vibrating.
I think you have something wrong

Sorry Joe your questions have been answered so I have nothing constructive to add.
However Gene, I thought you told me that sensor along with 10 presses of the Mem button allowed you to weight your passenger to see if you wanted to keep her.:dontknow:
