• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Question for Joe and Ann on the 2020 so far

I found the same thing. I’m wondering if the early catalogs had a misprint?

Thanks for triple checking that.

There have always been some glitch's in info between catalogs, manuals, and specs. BRP is very good at copy/paste and sometimes that results in bad information. Hence, the "weasel words" about not responsible for errors or the right to change specs at any time, etc.

We will get it worked out as usual. Once someone knows something for sure, post it up.

Look closer. The catalog is correct. The RT lists rider heated grips. The RTL lists driver and passenger heated grips! BRP quite often uses the word rider to mean the person on the front seat, particularly if the connotation is only one person on the Spyder.

Look closer, it says Rider heated grips and it says Driver heated grips on the RT Base, but I think it is a misprint and only has Driver heated grips. I think the final consensus is Driver only.

Oops, I missed the driver one. Since the RTL listing says driver and passenger it looks like the rider item is redundant to the driver item in the RT list. As has been said, it's not the first time BRP has botched up documentation!

I was hoping to capture all questions in Squared Away sabbatical thread. Sadly, questions are everywhere! Multiple threads, multiple forums, Facebook, phone calls, emails....bear with us! Meanwhile, we are trying to learn stuff by taking it apart, riding, reading, asking questions. Thank you, Larry. I could not remember where I saw your question; I just had to find the answer! Bottom line? Zippy! Properly quick! I’ll see about higher speeds when these are broken in. We are in Texas-they drive fast here! I’m screwed if I get a ticket. Have to find a track. Calling Yazz! We need a racetrack!!!
