There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Question for all those that have the RT and the 5 test riders

I sold my sm when I knew the RT was on its way but have held off buying the RT due to all the talk of the stearing issues that have came up. I never had a problem on the sm, one of the lucky ones I guess. But here is my question has there been any issues with the RT model? I haven't heard of any guess I am just looking for reassurance before I purchase mine. I love the ride and the look and have missed riding these last few months and spring is here so I am ready if I can just get the hype out of my head about this uncured issue that seems to happening to some Spyders. So please help me get a fix in my head, what has been your experince with the RT? :helpsmilie::dontknow::spyder:

If you were able to test drive the RT, then you are aware of the additional lean due to the extra weight. I found that putting the front setting to 5 and then adding more air pressure in the tires helped quite a bit, but I will be adding an aftermarket sway bar when one is available to make it even better.

I have been very pleased with my RT-S.

Future mods- sway bar, custom seat, floor boards. and a lowered brake pedal.

I did the same to the shocks and 20 PSI in the tires. I'm thinking of upping the tire pressure a little more.
Sway bar---that might do it. Thanks for the heads up.

As to the seat. both my wife and I are very comfortable with the existing seat.

So far, I've got about 300 miles on my RT-S. I like it. It's different, bt I like it.

I had what I thought was extra wabble on my RT. Tire pressure was not the same in both front tires. Put same pressure in both tires and raised setting on the shocks, it helped greatly.

I made a couple of hard left hand u turns last week and started straight down the road when I heard a loud bang from the left front of the RT. Like a hammer on a plate of steal. One bang. Thought I hit something in the road. Went back to look and nothing was in the road. I feel that the spring possibly had seated on the left front because the wabble was no longer there. Now it drives straight and true stable.

I wonder if the spring was not properly seated since manufacturing. It could be possible that some springs have not seated???

Just a guess no facts. Can't explain any other reason for noise then good front end.:dontknow::chat:

6'/190 lbs. Wife 5'5"/118 lbs. No steering issues or problems. (knock on wood). I personally think that each to their own. At first I was a bit hesitant. After riding 2000 miles my first two months, it goes exactly where I want and the way I want. I feel like the spyder and I are one.

Hope this helps.

Had an 09 RS model and traded it in for the RT-S model this past December 31st. I have approximately 2,100 miles on it with the only problem being the "bouncing" gas gage, which will be replaced this Thursday. It does drive and ride differently than the RS, but it's a great ride and I'm very pleased with my decision to purchase it. Hope this helps.

Don't Wait

Don't Wait,

Especially, if you are having one built to order, it would be nice to have an RT for spring rides wouldn't it.

If you do have a problem the Warranty will cover it.(I bought the extended warranty)

Get it, ride it, you will be happy that you did.

Right now you are torchering yourself.

I bought a RT-SE5 Orbital Blue, had a problem, the dealer fixed it, now it rides nice.
