• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

putting the stock exhaust back on

I am going to go back to stock muffler. I am tired of the popping and hesitations. As a old Harley guy I just can't get used to the LOUD sound of the Hindel. (the Harley sounds like music. The Spyder is just loud)

anyway. Tomorrow I am making a 300 mile ride and I am wondering with the weather as hot as it is if I should wait to put the muffler on or go ahead and do it now. There is no fuel mods on this Spyder.

I don't see why it would matter. We have had 100+ days for a while and run with a stock muffler and no problems. I do have the O2 modifier, but, even when I didn't, there were no problems.

Your probably better off putting the stock muffler back on , Without any fuel mods that Hindel is making the engine run lean, and running lean means more heat.
And I agree with you on the loud[noise].

Can't remember when was the last time we were below 102 here in Tulsa, hope you are going somewhere cool:D

I have both the Two Brothers Racing muffler, and the Two Brothers Juice Box Pro on my 2010 RT. There are many times now I wish they were both Gone! So, anyone considering these for your RT may want to check it out thoroughly before you do it.

but, then I do love the sound of that motor talking to me !

I went back to the stock exhaust several months ago from the Hindle. The Hindle is loud and I was getting tired of it and my social conscience was getting to me. I have no regrets. The loss of power is minimal and I would almost never want to tap into it. The Hindle is much better looking than the stock 'cannon barrel' but the popping is gone and it runs great.

Don't worry about it. Do it and have fun. :2thumbs:

For the stock muffler, you'll need a new exhaust seal that goes between the stock pipe and the Y pipe unless you were able to salvage the old one when you removed the stock muffler to install the Hindle.

Yup. Did the same. Went back to the stock exhaust......from my homemade glasspac. I think i finally blew out all of the stuffing. LOUD!
Pretty much turned into a straight pipe!

mufflers stock

Yup!! Yup, sometimes stock stuff, has been well enginered, & hard to improve on , been there, & done that!!!

Do it now.

I put my stock exhaust on because I was also tired of the popping, backfiring etc. of the Hindle.
I was much happier after I did that and the spyder ran better.... no doubt about it.

I just put my hindle on today and I absolutely love the sound of it!! It may be loud but it's a great throaty sounding pipe. :2thumbs:

That's why Heinz has 57 varieties, I agree the hindle is a great fit and sound for the R.S.

Regardless of stock or aftermaket pipes, I wear ear plugs. Wind noise is still there at speed, no muffler for that problem.

spyder exhaust

I would not try to advise anybody about what exhaust to use or not that is a personal preference, I myself have the Two Brothers M5 Can Carbon Fiber with the P1 Tip installed on my Rt and love it no backfiring or eccesive popping. I do a lot of group rides in club I'm in and always jockey
for position so as not to be behind a Harley because I enjoy hearing my exhaust :spyder: and music......:coffee:...

Freebob...:doorag:

LOUD PIPES
SAVES LIVES !!!:doorag::doorag::doorag::doorag:

Actually, they don't...however, I am a big fan of the hindle. If you have one, you almost have to have a better air filter and a juice box or something like it helps with fine tuning. I really don't get any popping with mine. Does seem that with each update, BRP makes the bike run a little richer...I've noticed this as I've been able to dial down the juice box over time...
