• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Put the RT shocks on my RS (GS)

Well after a horrendous night at work ( I moved 22 barges 1 at a time in 8 hrs) Whew! I was too cranked up to just go to bed when I got home. I decided to unwind by installing the new shocks. No biggie! Thanks Firefly for the install tips! While I was still cranked up... to 3 notches now. I thought I check on the Y gaskets I installed last month and tweak the clamp a little more since they have "burned in" This is what I found. When I changed them out and tightened the clamp on the right hand side the bolt was touching the housing. Not a lot of pressure on it, but I didn't like the idea of it being there. May or may not cause a problem. But why take a chance so I repositioned it, so it would not be up against the housing. Here's a couple of pics.View attachment 8381

:congrats: on the install. Were your Y gaskets still in decent shape? BRP or Honda :dontknow:

Y gaskets were fine (Honda) I just reposition the clamp so the bolt was not in contact with the housing. When I first look at the bolt up against the housing. I was thinking what if I hit a bad pot hole and it punched a hole in the housing. Probably wouldn't happen, but why chance it.

Update on RT shocks

Since the install, I haven't had a single day without rain. So I got up early today, before work and got to try out the new shocks. WOW! What a difference. Wbbrn1952 told me about a nice road with a few good twisties very close to my house. I took the spyder there and put it through the paces. Had the nanny kick in a few times, but who hasn't. Took some curves 35-40 mph above what was posted. Like others on here have said before..."like ryding on rails". This is a great mod! I LIKE IT!:yes::yes:
