• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Pure magnesium- color code question.

I tried to get the code as well for some touch up paint and never could get a definate answer. I went down to the local paint shop and they color matched the paint pretty good. I painted the block off plate and other touch upsa and others cant even tell the differance.

I got 2 cans of spray paint and a bottle of touch up for $85.

My dealer in Arkansas sent me the below list of paint codes for the 2011 models. I thought that might help.

Is touch up paint for a Spyder available from BRP or any other source?

You should be able to take the paint codes to any quality paint shot and get what you need. There is a minimum volume you have to buy. Try ColorRite. I went there for my M109 paint, put for the price of one can there I just
went locally and got twice as much.
Thanks for the paint codes. Wish I had these a few months ago.

I was told that a good paint shop should be able to use those codes to match it. My local shop could not and I just haven't tried anyone else yet. (The trick with mine is the matte finish on the alloy orange)

May Spyder dealer does not carry any and I'm not sure BRP makes any small bottles to sell like auto dealers do. I'd love to have some, too!

Hi There was a recent thread about PAINT FOR :ani29: and said it was WATERBASED I don't think BASF or PPG makes any of that type of paint. If you paint something that is only close by it only has to 98 % if touches or overlays it has to be 100%. I don't think you can match water based with solvent based.. Just my guess here though ?

Once again the members of this forum give of their time and knowledge. Special people riding special bikes !!
Thank you.

I saw that thread, but didn't realize those companies/codes were not water-based. Good to know. Who knew that trying to find touch-up paint could turn into such an education on paint?!:dontknow:
