• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Champion power sports Belleville Mi. ask for Kile
SWEET!!!
Thanks for the breakdown. Gives me some argument on what I can do at my dealer.
I think Im gonna plop down a deposit this weekend.

This Spyder is something else. Sure hope you enjoy yours as much as I am enjoying mine. Congratulations on getting the "fast" color. People continue to be amazed at how much faster yellow is than silver.

I paid $17500 for mine out the door. i felt the additional dealer charges were way too high but they had the bike and i wanted it. it seems i could have saved 1600 buy buying from this forum.

I am paying $17,598 out the door for the Yellow SE5 model. I live in Illinois, and I am buying this thing in Michigan. They told me that I'll have to pay all of the taxes and such when I get it back to Illinois. Does anybody have a clue what these extra charges will be?

I live in Illinois also. You will have to pay sales tax (depends where you live), title and registration $168.00
(includes plates).
I ordered mine thru a dealer in Wisconsin that was close to the border, they were able to handle the whole transaction.

what is the difference between "freight" and "destination?" and what about "assembly" vs. "vehicle prep?"

You know.... I wasn't going to say anything...... but as I was reading that rundown I was thinking the exact same thing.

the next time you see your dealer ask him or her whats the differance in assembly vs prep i thought thay were the same or are the just tring to get you for another 98.00 extra and i thought the yellow was selling for 15.200 :spyder:

Hey, I was going to order from that place right over the border, but I decided to go with the one in Benton Harbor, Michigan. Do you think they are able to handle it because they are close to the Illinois border? I wonder if the dealer in Michigan can handle everything for me. By the way, what was the sales tax for you. I would think mine would be the same since I live in Illinois....Will county.

I live in Lake Co. 6 1/2%. I ordered mine 3/30/07 it is supposed to be in soon. It is a manual in silver.
I paid: $14,999, $300 freight, $195 prep, plus tax & title.
They have been great all thru the whole process, talk to Pat he's the sales manager.

that sounds like a fair deal you should post your dealer and salesman .In fact maybe Lamont can give good / bad dealers a page.wildwillie

Well guys if you feel the price is high in the US... try US$20,000 in Mexico!!! (that is because is an imported item and pays lots of duties)
