• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Pulling to the right

I was told they put them all on the BUDS when they come in for service. They say it's an alignment problem and again on the phone with BRP they refuse to pay any part of it as well as Ride Now. Amazing with the front end problems BRP has had with the 2013, steering, ball joints, stablelizer bar link rod replaced on a Spyder bought the end of April and they want $400 from me for an alignment. Waiting for higher up a BRP to call and waiting on Ride Now general manager to call. Hope H3LL don't freeze over.

Harpo ...it is alignment and the old fashioned way that dealers align your Spyder will NEVER show or solve the problem, if they do not have the new Laser Spyder Alignment System they cannot fix problem

The bad news is we have not convinced any dealers in your area...check out www.spydercomfort.com...go to Spyder Alignment page

The dealers we have contacted feel they do not need to purchase this system until BRP makes this mandatory...the problems will remain

They told me they have the laser alignment and have to take apart the dog house on the front and blah blah blah. It will cost YOU $400. If I hadn't said something about 4 to 6 weeks into owning it, it would be different. My argument is they can't prove it was in alignment when I bought it equally I can't either. I was about a month into it before I would take a hand off while riding. Then I tried the cruise and let go and within about 5 seconds you in another lane.

Lasted Update

Talk to the general manager at Ride Now and BRP acknowledged they are having some steering issues on some the 2013 RT's. Order of treatment. 1 Check steering column tolerance, 2 Replace front shocks, they are ordered. They are having some issues with shocks and have redesigned them. 3 If still pulling to right then they will do the front end alignment. It might be a couple of weeks before I get it back but if it is fixed and done right I will be happy. Will keep you updated with progress. Thanks for all the input. I just never gave up complaining until I reached someone that cared.

So glad that you found finally someone who did not ignore your problem and try to gloss over your complaints. Dealers that are either lazy or ignorant, or ones that don't want to do warranty work because it doesn't pay well, do themselves a huge disservice. Customers that are unhappy shop elsewhere next time. Fewer customers = less business. What kind of business plan is that?

I know what a headache it is to own a new machine and it handles like crap. When I first bought my 2013 RTS it vibrated at 54 MPG to 62 MPG. Even the windshield would shake. Dealer drove it and told me nothing was wrong. He didn't notice anything unusual. (This is my 2nd Spyder, not my first rodeo.) I insisted they replace the front tires. They did and I have a completely different machine. Now if they can remedy the hot thighs, I will be one happy Spyder owner. Hang in there. Don't give up!!

Keeps Piling On

My Spyder still in the shop. Going on 3 weeks now. Got a call this morning and was told the recall is official now for the over heating break cylinder had been now recalled and the parts are on back order and have no idea how long before they get them. and now since the recall they won't let me have it. I am now starting to regret the purchase. When will it ever end.

Legally they cannot hold your Spyder due to the recall, as no "stop riding" order was part of the recall. From a practical standpoint it would pay to wait and let them do it right. It should be a new machine when you get it back.

Sorry to hear still waiting for RT service at Ride Now

I posted earlier maybe next time needing service for 2013 Spyder RT, call Kent at Apache Motorcycles Mesa 480-325-1818, the service manger will talk directly to Spyder mechanic, and BRP if needed, & gets the service done promply. Dealer is at 1350 S. Clearview, Mesa, Az 85209.
I ride 100 miles to Mesa for 2013 Spyder RT service; because of bad attitude, questionable qualified Spyder mechanics, long delays in service at Ride Now dealers in Tucson, Az.
It is wise to wait for brake master cylinder heat shield recall to be put on; you do not need to have a major brake problem later on.
(I feel my HP Sticky heat reflecting shield that covers top plastic cover, front, & underneath on brake master cylinder protects more area from #2 exhaust pipe heat that is only about 1"-2" away).
Hang in there. I have 5,000 trouble free miles on my 2013 Spyder RT-S that I love to ride!! I bought it from Len at PitBull Powersports in Springfield, Mo, set up properly.

I talked to them about a front end alignment and they were over $100 cheaper than Ride Now. I bought the service plan thru them and stuck until that is done. I bought it knowing how expensive it is to service a spyder. By the time I get it back I will have practically a whole new front end. It's the monthly payment I make and they have it more than I do.
