• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Here is the Spyder hooked up to my Texas Style BBQ. It did fine around here but I wonder how it will be when we get into the really steep mountains. What tongue weight can the Spyder handle? I've got 2 good hunks of meat on there...be done around 8:00 this evening.

Does West Virginia have restrictive laws regarding the ownership of handguns? :D

That is some great fabrication work! I never strive for that level of perfection. Too many hours! That must be goose neck type hookup with that much tongue weight.

Note the For Sale sign on the BBQ. I built it last winter because I could not find a family BBQ that I could borrow that would cook large hunks of meat at the proper temp. But I now find that I would like room for a sink, cooler and larger cutting table. So I have to sell this one and build another or build another larger trailer and transfer the pit and benches. It's a great cooker. Load it with wood, set the dampers and let it cook. Holds about 190/200 deg damped down and 400 wide open. 12 hours to do a brisket to perfection. Makes my mouth water just talking about it.

ANSWER TO ACTUAL QUESTION ASKED ......IMAGINE THAT !!!!

Tongue wgt....max is 40 lbs............Total towing wgt. = 400 lbs........Mike

Not sure..!!

tongue weight I believe is 40lbs but I don't remember the loaded weight limits for pulling the trailer. Looks like you have 40 lbs of meat there..!! :roflblack: make sure you have enough power left to stay ahead of the critters...:roflblack::roflblack:

Beer went in and brisket wrapped at 2:00 pm. Looked really good. Final oak added at 6:00. Check for tenderness and flavor at 8:00. Slice at 10:00 Pictures posted at 11:00 If at a cook-off, pick up the trophy at 8:30 ;)

Looks good enough to eat. How far you going with that thing.

Well time to fess up, guess I didn't pull the wool over anyone's eyes. Here is actually how the Spyder is going to the reunion. I think 100 lbs of tongue weight and 2000 lb trailer weight might be a bit much for the Spyder. The briskets are done and sliced and the BBQ pit will be staying at home.

There are hundreds of miles of secondary mountain roads around the Moorefield, WV area and we traveled about 150 miles a day for four days. We could only run about 30 mph on average but it was great scenery and mainly good to fair blacktop surface. We got stuck on one rock base for about 5 miles but that was it. We plan to go back to that area as soon as we can to ride the ones that we missed. GREAT TIME!
