• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

My wife and I are now proud parents to a 2011 RT-S Viper Red :spyder2:
:2excited:
We named her: Tas Mobile as in the Tasmanian Devil cartoon character.

Do have a slight issue.

Drove it 120 miles in less than 1 week and already have two chips on the wheels ( one on each wheel ).

Has anyone else have this problem?

:welcome: and :congrats: on TAZ. I got nothing on your wheel problem but I'm sure someone will speak up on it. Ryde safe, Bill

:congrats: on your new toy - Hope it gives you miles and years of trouble free smiles!

3,000 miles, 150 on gravel roads & no chips..

:welcome: Are you sure the chips weren't there when you picked it up??? :dontknow:
It took me a few days to notice the chip in one of the RS wheels. When I mentioned it to the dealer,
he said "Thanks for reminding me! We noticed it was chipped during set up and I have a new one ordered;
I was going to call you when it to came in."

It might be worth bringing it to your dealers attention :pray: nojoke

:congrats::welcome:

I went looking to see if we had any chips on the Spyder... No such luck. I did eat quite a few for lunch, and stayed at a Holiday Inn last night... Hope that helps :roflblack::ohyea::p:yes::spyder2: :doorag:

Is it a chip in the chrome? You may want to show it to your dealer. May be a defective of some type. Can you post a picture of it?

I had a scuff mark on one of my wheels (I assume from mounting the tire) when I picked up my Spyder, and did not notice it until 12 days later. My dealership said they would see if BRP will replace it under warranty. Of course they said they did not notice it either, and wished I had brought it back the same day. Their tune changed when I showed them the photo I took while picking up my Spyder, and you could see it then (enlarged 400 times). Never hurts to see what the dealer can do for you.

Chips on the crome

Thanks for all of your input. I will talk to the dealer and see what they can/will do.

Would be nice if covered under warranty, but, not holding my breath.

Hopefully, default in the chrome and they will replace it.

Have fun at spider fest, won't make this year. Maybe see some of there next year if they have one.

Ride safe.
