• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

After being off of motorcycles for about 6 years, I took the plunge this week and brought home a BEAUTIFUL 2013 Spyder RT Limited. It took about 100 miles to get used to the steering as it is a LOT more twitchy than i expected. Takes a very light touch to steer. My girlfriend and I took a nice ride Tuesday evening and she was NOT very comfortable on the highway. She felt very unstable. I ordered the Corbin Arm Rests that night and will install as soon as they get in. Are there any other must haves? I am going to get Bluetooth communication headsets this weekend. I love this thing and I look forward to many happy miles!! I also look forward to reading all the great info on this forum:doorag:

:congrats: on the purchase of your new spyder and:welcome:to the spyder web. You may want to check out the do's and do not's for new spyder owners post. You'll find a lot of good info in it. Dale

:welcome: it may take your girlfriend a while to get used to being a passenger on the Spyder much like the learning curve for the driver I understand that there is also a learning curve for the passenger. Must haves to me are additional lights. Check out some of the site sponsors like TricLed to see what is available.

:welcome: and :congrats: the more time your GF the more she will love riding you new :spyder2:. Have fun and ride safe. Keep posting and the forum members help me alot on most of my questions.

Welcome..!!

and congrats on a fine new ryde. You still have a ways to go to get the real hang of the roadster. Ease up on your grip and drive like you do with power steering (which it has). Check rear suspension setting and have your girlfriend lean on you till she gets which way to go as you ryde. If she rode with you on bikes she has to learn the roadster is no a bike. My wife did the same and now she is relaxed on the open roads and we are a unit on the twisties..enjoy..!! :ohyea:

Welcome and congratulations on getting a RT Limited. It has a lot of the farkles that other folks are adding as standard features (like the lights, mentioned above.) Ensure your tire pressure is correct . . . a mere 1 pound difference between the front wheels can effect handling . . . and play with the pressure a bit to see where it feels good to you. I weigh 290 and upped the front tires to 16.5 lbs and the rear to 29. It made my 2013 RT Limited feel much better to me. It corners like it is on rails!

Thanks for all of the attaboys... Will start to browse through the forum to start the learning! Will also check the tire pressures
