It depends on where you live - rates vary a lot, not just company to company, but state to state, and city to city. I recently changed city/county of residence, and it cost me +12% on my insurance. I keep all of my insurance at one company, for the discounts that brings, and insist on annual billing (which removes 70% of the insurance companies). Still, Liberty Mutual is 30% lower than any of the competition, where I live.
When I purchased my new RT, Progressive wanted 800/year, Allstate - $700/year, and SF - $510/year - I only pay $1400 a year for two cars, a trailer, home, and Spyder with my current company. That comparison was with a $500 deductible across the board.
