Progressive Insurance

There seems to be a thing against them. Saying all sorts of stuff that they were supposed to do, from being a communist party (which no longer exist) to supporting *****. I have their insurance and have no problem with them.
What I was wondering is if anyone else uses them? And I did go to truth or fiction and all they said is it is a rumor. So I think it is just a smear project. Does anyone have more info on this?

I've gotten good service when I needed it and have good rates on the two cars, two bikes, and house with them.

Till that changes, I'll stick with them.

I just got me a like new 2012 spyder rt se5 limited , I had to insurase it be 4 I change the tidle in to my name , I have 3 bikes with just libalty with Progressive that cost just 125.00 for 1 yr. polcey So I was gonta add full coverage of my Spyder to the polocyI was qoated over 750 more dollars (500 Deb. )on it I went to my state farm agent and the price was 152. per. 6 mo`s The agent said I got a discount because I have truck,car,motorhome with them and good record >>Mabe you should shop around as I did >>Progerssive has so many adds on t-v the price is high to pay that Babe in the white costuem in hundred`s of comercials they have . ( besides I am tired of looking at her )

I shopped about 6 companies and progressive was the best coverage and price. No problems.

I have Progressive insurance. They send me a check for $100 every year! I think it's because I send them a check for $100 more than the premium, but hey, they still send me a check! :roflblack::yes::joke:

I found it necessary to leave Progressive when I switched from a HONDA ST1300 to a Spyder and they added $175 per year to my premium.

Unless I'm reading the article incorrectly, SNOPES is saying the (original) article is outdated, and then at the end presents new facts, supporting Peter Lewis.

I had Progressive on my GoldWing... when I bought my 2014 Spyder Progressive quoted me $760 for a year (no tickets - no claims) I shopped around.. Geico beat Progressive on the exact same coverage by $476... guess who I insured with ??

We have State Farm for everything else. Had the bike insurance with them too for a while until they TOLD us to switch to Progressive for a much better rate and better coverage. That was years ago. Did check last year to see if anything changed and SF was still hundreds more expensive per year. The Spyders are much more expensive to insure than the Harley we previously had. Progressive gets about $1300 per year for the two spyders, SF wanted over 2k for less coverage. Never have had to file a claim with Progressive though.

However, the "heads up regarding Progressive Auto Insurance" reproduced above, originally circulated in 2010, is now woefully out of date: Lewis stepped down from his role as Progressive Insurance's CEO in 2000 and after that date was neither an executive of that company nor involved in its day-to-day management. Although after 2000 he continued to hold the position of chairman of the board of the Progressive Corporation and was that entity's single largest individual shareholder, he passed away in November 2013 and therefore obviously no longer has any connection with Progressive Insurance.

I too had Progressive on my Gold Wing for many years, when I got my new:spyder2:In July I went to Progressive for a quote on the RT. My old rate for the wing was $250.00 a yr. they wanted $535.00 for the :f_spider: for a year, I ended up going with Rider Insurance for $333.00..
