• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Progressive Insurance

I've had Progressive for my cars and previous Spyders. They took great care of me when I totaled my 2008 GS. I've now switched to Dairyland as they came in cheaper. We pay more in Michigan. With our no-fault, but we also have great medical coverage for accidents.
Also have Progressive for house insurance. They've been a good company to work with... and I see being progressive as a good thing. :-).
Insurance is like a snowblower... something you buy and hope to never use.

try being in the body shop business and working w/progressive. ive heard they are
good on motorcycles though. had them for a few years. now have markel ins.
lots of perks. they are powersports only. $295.00/yr.
everything else, including the shop , through cincinnati insurance.

I would recommend Rider Insurance, Progressive wanted $1,000 for my '15 RTL. I believe that I'm paying less than $600 for better coverage.

Same here. Progressive was several hundred dollars higher than Rider, as was everyone else. I went with Rider for about $700/yr for my 2015 RT-S.

If you haven't looked at Dairyland, you might do that. I was at Foremost $700, then switched to Geico for $5 hundred something. I ended up at Dairyland for $400. This is a 2014 RTS, total coverage with $500 ded, Max liability, which I think is $500K, one ticket, forgot to renew one of my plates. One parking lot fender bender that they didn't count. SE Washington state, I know where you live makes a different, pop here about 350K.

As Bob has said many times, there are a lot of factors that figure into the pricing. I have Geico, 100/300/50, on my 2007 ATV and my 2014 RT. The total for both is $274/yr, $223 of it for the Spyder. I have my car and pickup with them also so a multi vehicle discount probably applies, although that is not shown in the cost breakdown.

Anti theft discount is $3 and safety training discount and mature rider are $29 each.

What Bob said

Old news, and that situation is no longer a valid description...

If you live by price alone: you'll die by price alone. nojoke
Find yourself an Insurance Broker who ALSO rides, and ask them where they have their bikes insured.
It's all about the service after the claim...
:agree: I purchased some "cheap " insurance about 15 years ago , someone ran into me .... It turned into a nightmare trying to process a claim . I always use my broker now and go with who they recommend

I'm sorry to hear that you had difficulties with your claim... :banghead:
It's always best to keep an open line of communication with your Broker, and let them know what's going on. nojoke

I have been with State Farm since 1966. They have my home, car, & two :spyder2::f_spider:'s. My 2017 Subaru is $528 per year and each :ani29: is a bit less for full coverage (have to look at next bill for numbers on the Spyders).

They may not be the cheapest, but I can call my agent any time. When I have a claim, it is taken care of ASAP and to my satisfaction. To me, that is worth something.

They have covered one head on collision that totaled the vehicle, another head on collision that caused thousands in damage, a freeway winter fender bender, and a tree falling on my Tribeca and damaging the roof. Also covered the front end damage on my 2014 :spyder: after a highway speed collision with a dog. In each case they were on it within hours, fixes were done quickly, and I did not receive any penalties (no fault insurance).

I am sticking with the Farm.

Don't forget to add your accessory coverage! I have been with GEICO for three years. My annual premium with the is about $900 for both my Spyders.

I also have GEICO my yearly premium is $489.00. zero accidents. I have a 2014 RTS-SE6. Also, have been with Geico for 5 years. Deanna

That one time

Absolutely , unfortunately that was the one time I didn't use a broker ... They were recommended by a business associate for a commercial policy , it was a tough and expensive lesson :gaah::gaah:
