• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Problems

A friend of mine's 08 GS showed a brake error, he filled the master cylinder, message did not go away. At the same time, with the key and kill switch off, the engine started to crank. He had to disconnect the battery to stop it.
He called me, I told him it sounded like the starter relay was welded closed, but there are a bunch of other things showing on his digital display.
I think I remember something about pressing the brake pedal to reset the low fluid, but the rest of it is beyond me.
Help?

Yep, sounds like some problems that a dealer should take a look at. Trailer it to your nearest dealer, with the battery out of the machine.

Cheers and good luck.

Did he sit on the auto start remote?:roflblack::shemademe_smilie:

But in all seriousness, I'd start with a known good battery. A weak battery can give all sorts of weird issue .... exactly like as if it was haunted.

At the last report, the brake error message was caused by a bad master cylinder. The moveable contact in the starter relay had come loose and was randomly bringing in the starter, which drew the battery down and caused the LCD display to spaz out. That's so far, they're still checking things.
