• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. PRO SHOPS REPAIR

Once again Pro Shops in Henderson, Nevada has done it again. A month ago my clutch went away on my SE5 because I was told the Mobil 1 motorcycle oil now has SM rating. It was repaired under warranty in less than three days. My wife's SM5 had a check engine light come on. After doing the click thingy, I got it to scroll code 560 which in my trusty manual told me it was a oil sensor that was bad. I called Pro Shops, set a time in and one hour later, reloaded the Spyder back on the trailer and headed home. I was told it was best not to ryde it in to the shop as if it wasn't the sensor, they would have to dig deeper and I may have to stay there for days. I don't sleep well away from my wife. Just so you know, we had the trailer built to tow the Spyders to Spyderfest but we have now decided to Ryde them there. Leaving Sat. April 23, to Moab for a few days, then Denver, Salina Kansas, then Columbia, MS. Then to Rolla where we are staying. Can hardly contain myself. Toes tap and Spyder is almost loaded. Oh well, will have to wait. See ya there.

Were they able to confirm the clutch failure was due to the Mobil1 4T oil and still covered it under warranty?

I hope you have a great trip on the way to Spyderfest.

To be honest, Im not sure if they verified it was the Mobile 1 4t but I was told by several others and my mechanic that it now has sm rating and Mobil had not put that on the oil containers. They warranted the clutch because there was no other issues and the bike had not been abused. Also, even with the Mobil oil in it, it should not have worn out the plates but did. My mechanic said it was unusual but not unheard of. His recommendation, BRP blended or Castrol Syn motorcycle only. He did tell me BRP is made by Castrol or poured from the same vat, but who knows. It may be veg. oil for all I know.

Always good to hear about a good dealer. Your trip sounds like it is going to be great. I'm jealous I wish I had a longer trip to get to Spyderfest.

Thanks for the additional info. I have heard of some other Spyder Lovers who saw the BRP oil delivered to their dealerships and it said Castrol on the pallets. That is probably how your mechanic knows it is made by Castrol.

Sounds like a good trip to Spyderfest. Don't worry about going through Kansas, once your past Junction City the vista is much better :2thumbs:.

I'm staying at the HIExpress in Rolla, see you there in Rolla.

I hope your tech verified that the clutch assist solenoid was not being pulled in when it shouldn't be. That will cause clutch plate failure. It can only be tested functionally, with the engine running.
