• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Price Reduction on Parts

I just picked up the goodies for an oil change for my 2011 RT -- filter, o-ring, and two different crush washers. Surprise! The proper wire-reinforced filter now lists for just $13.12. Less than half of what I had been paying. The o-ring and crush washers have similar reductions. I looked on the BRP parts site and confirmed the prices. They are correct. Was BRP feeling guilty???

I paid less than that. I bought the complete kit for $66. So the dealer charge is $10 dollars for a quart of oil and the kit comes with 5 quarts. So I paid $16 for two oil filters, two o-rings and 2 crush washers for an SE5.

I would imagine that having some "auto parts stores" competition, is what's driving the price down. :2thumbs:

Hey!
Let's not look a gift horse in the mouth too closel...

It's the law..!!

of supply and demand. The more out there at better prices the less they will sell. So they have to stay competitive...I too buy the kits, much cheaper in the long run...
