• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Powering your cell phone

For those of you with your phone mounted to the Ryker handlebars.....how are you powering it? I thought about drilling a hole in the glove box and running the usb cord underneath the plastic panels up to the phone. Also thought about just running the usb cord over the rubber gasket and letting the door close on it.

It would be great to find a waterproof way to power the phone but I don't think that's possible.

I think there is a little notch in the plastic under the rubber seal just so you can run the wire like you said and close the door.

Kyocera phone is waterproof and has exterior charging contacts on the back. Pic is of modified ram phone mount with mating contacts installed.

Like Gskiner said, there are notchs in the glove box lid, one on each side. They are made for flat wires. I have a round wire powering my GPS and I used a drill bit to enlarge and round out the notch. Use the supplied usb outlets and works just fine.

You can run your power or USB cable out the upper or lower corner without them binding. The binding is caused by a flange in the cover, but only makes contact with the top of the box.
