There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Power Port

NM Wrench

Hello All,
I have a burning question I hope someone can shed light on..........I want to add a 12 volt power port in the frunk on my 2014 RT-S. I know there is accamadations for it as I have found the plug and leads for it. Now my question......is there any way to install it without removing the frunk?
Thanks

There is a rubber plug under your left fuse box. I pulled it out after reading some other forums and there are two leads there with female spade connectors. They are live when the ignition is on. I used mine to power my GPS. But you could get a power outlet from Can-Am or even Autozone that would plug right in and fit in that hole perfectly. All without having to remove the frunk. http://store.spyder.brp.com/product/896086/710001316/_/12-V_Power_Outlet_Kit
If you remove your battery cover you can reach the backside of the Frunk to hold the nut on that plug and tighten it. Hope this helps. Also check this thread,

Hi thanks for your reply! I already have the power port that I got on Ebay. I slid it into the hole and it fit perfect. But did not know how to thread the nut on the back without removing the frunk! I will take off the battery cover and give it a try! Thanks again........:yes::yes::bowdown:

I think it's the same as on the '13. Slip the nut over the wires, pull the wires through the hole and plug onto the outlet. Then push the outlet into the hole and working in a very tight space work the nut onto the outlet. You'll have more room to work if you take the battery out. The real challenge will be to get the rubber boot over the end of the outlet once the nut is snug. Thin nimble fingers can reach the best. You do need to get the rubber boot on otherwise the connectors will get wet and corrode.
