Hoping its not a lost art.. My Dad taught me & explained how he was taught, same from granddads. & how to not need a funnel. Key thing is to not to rush (you'll waste more time cleaning up instead of doing it right)

I have a 2 liter pop bottle with the bottom cut off. After removing the cap, I can screw it into the filler hole in my Toyota Tundra. I don't have the mess if I had used a funnel as the hole sits at an angle.
After I'm finished filling the oil, I put the cap back on and stuff a rag or towels in the bottle to absorb the remaining oil.

Squeeze the bottle and you won't have a problem with the air! But I have to be honest! I didn't know that was the purpose for the bottle design! :clap::clap:

Here is another one.

Do you have trouble hitting the hole when pouring oil (or any liquid)? Most people watch the bottle opening. And that's where you lose it. Remember the golden rule. You always go where you look. So, if you want the liquid to go in the hole, be sure to focus on the hole and not the end of the bottle.

Try it with water from a bottle into something with a smaller opening in your sink. That way, if you miss, you don't have a mess. I think you'll be surprised at how accurate you will be.

You have to know how to handle the equipment before it will do a good job!

For a bigger target, try aiming into the shower or the tub. Then rinse. You don't even need the light on.

Just put in a floor drain and be done with it! Cheaper than a good scope! Not necessarily harder to mount. :roflblack:

Kind of thought this was common knowledge, guess not.

As for the bottle with the spout in the middle. Pour while holding bottle sideways, holding the edges of the bottle, not the front and back. Pour slowly, no glugging.
