• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I noticed no one's posted pics yet, so this is a place for them.

Yesterday we rode to Devil's tower in Wyo. There was a long line to get into the park, so we just got some shots from the road then went to Cheyenne Crosding for some great carrot cake.

Today I wanted to ride the more difficult motorcycle roads in the Bkack Hills. So I rode to Hill City and asked a guy in the hardware store parking lot how to find the Old Hill City Rd. He gave me directions and said it has 21 railroad crossings. I counted only 14, but except for that it was a nice ride.

That route put me at the north end of the Iron Mtn Rd. I got this pic of Mt Rushmore from a stop part way up. image.jpg

That at comes out in Custer State Park, where I had lunch at a lodge frequented by Calvin Coolidge & Dwight Eisenhower.

Then i I took the Needles Hwy north. Here's a couple shots from that area.

That highway put me back at Hill City and then I came back north to Deadwood in a light rain. Overall, a really good day for riding.

MurphyBrown got a shot of me in Spearfish Canyon and a lot more so I know there are others out there.

Edit: Maybe the picture righter-upper fairy will do his thing.

. If you get a chance take Vanocker Canyon Road out of the south end of Sturgis and runs down to Nemo Road and into Rapid City. Spearfish Canyon Road is a nice ride as well.
Very nice

They claimed that there were 600 + in attendance but I think that may have been high. The map that was posted was from July 4th and they did have people register at the event.

Deadwood

Enjoyed the Deadwood Rally a lot, my first such adventure. Got to meet some nice people and really enjoyed the week riding with my oldest son and younger brother. Will try to post some pictures after I figure out how.

DEADWOOD

This was my second image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgrally in Deadwood. I had just as good of a time as last year! The scenery is great, the roads are wonderful for riding and the people are friendly! Downtown Deadwood is pretty cool, too! I finally got to meet murphybrown, prairie Spyder, Lamont's wife, Joan, and many other Spyder riders. Our Spyder social was a big hit with almost 200 in attendance. This event should be on everyone's bucket list!
