BUDS will not do Evinrude! We have our own diagnostic software and it's called EVDiag. It can be purchased but it is really not useful to have cause unless your connected to BRP, you won't have full function of the software. BUDS is kinda the same way... will work but limited on what you can do with it. Like said before just enough to get someone into trouble. We get a new license key issued every year and have to connect and update the software several times a year. Changing fuel injectors and software maps can only be done if you connect to BRP, however if you just wanted to troubleshoot codes and possible clear them then it would work but then your done when the license key expires.

They do get the updates just not as fast as BRP , yearly instead of instantly. As far as doing" more" they have this and it does allow ECM programming. Probably like some programs I had for my Corvette.

Megatech key is an advanced key which opens up many features not available to the ordinary dealer!! , changing VIN numbers , disabling DESS theft systems and advanced diagnostics are just some of the things Megatech opens that they don't want the ordinary dealer messing with!! Megatech will also allow timing curve and rev limiter changes on some 2 stroke models

Megatech WILL NOT change fuel or timing maps on 4 tec applications nor will it change total run hours on any product.

Okay, I have another email into this company because I'm told they're not able to sell to the United States? They are in Austrailia ?? No mention of this when I got my reply. If this is true, I despise when people aren't straight up honest!

My reply back tells me that we can acquire a Can Am only BUDS set up for under $600 w a license key for 1 year. To update yearly would be $100. This would allow a tech to do everything he needs BUDS for except making keys, that would be extra.

Now with that said, I highly recommend that you NOT buy this thinking you can fix up or tweak your bike in some way. Many of the parameters in this system can harm your bike if you do not know what you're doing!

From reading through this, I get the impression that BRPDiagnostics is a bogus site. Maybe we shouldn't deal with them....

The main reason I would want a working copy is to see the diagnostic information. Not really to do any adjustments. I'll let the dealer take care of all that.
