There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Portable air compressor

I want to get me a portable air compressor, just in case!
There are so many out there at different prices, most with good reviews! Problem is that I've seen the same review for different models, thus leaving me with more questions then answers!
So my only choice left is S L expertise! ( should had been the 1st one)
Does anyone has one? Brand and model and your review of the product will help a lot! Seems like the Viair are very durable! Thanks for taking the time to respond or just read this post! :dontknow:

I bought

the Slime kit and compressor which comes in a small plastic bag. Along with that I got the tire repair strips with the "T" handle insert tools. Together they'll all fit into the Slime kit bag which makes it as compact as possible. I watched a video where all the available road side tire repair kits were used to repair flat motorcycle tires. Each one of the repair kits had about the same failure/success rate so none actually stood out as being superior to any other kit. I've used the strip inserts in the past and had reasonable success with them, so that's why I chose that particular repair kit. They are also the least expensive of all the repair kits.

CO2

I have a tire kit that uses CO2 cartridges to inflate the tire. Works quite well, quick, takes up very little space, and the cartridges are cheap, about $0.23 each.

+1 for Slime. Doesn't take up much space, readily available and inexpensive at Wally World. And won't overload the fuse for the Spyder accessory outlet. CO2 is nice, too.

I have found this one to be better than the SLIME one, this is 24.99 on the internet

I have a Harley D and it works good but now I have one from Aerostitch and you just push it on and flip down a lever to attach it to the valve stem. The Harley one screws on and I think the Aerostitch is easier. I believe that they are currently on sale for $50. www.aerostitch.com

Soooo....

Did we clear this up for you or just confused you some more...? I carry the mushroom plug gun with co2 cartriges. They attach to control valve so you can add air as needed..it is compact and takes less room than a compressor.

Fuse!

If you want to plug any of these powered air compressors into your Battery Tender connector on your Spyder be aware the fuse supplied with the Battery Tender cables are a very low amperage and will blow rather quickly. I replaced the fuse in mine with a higher current one, don't remember what size, probably looked at the fuse supplied with the air compressor cord and put the same or a slightly larger one in the charging cable.

I use this model, supposed to be good. Have aired up a low tire on the SUV, it ran a while but didn't get too hot.

No! Not confuse! I probably go with one that connects to the battery, that way I don't run the risk of blowing any fuses! I thank you all for your advice!

I agree with the slime

We road 4 wheelers in West Virginia, Maine, and PA. The slime unit never let us down and even used it to fill the truck tire .

I really have to agree with this, that little slime pump does all and more than you ask of it. Less then $20.00 at Wally World, small, compact, easy to read dial, built in light, even comes with it's own case.
