• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I went on the Heart of Wa ride this past weekend and put 947 miles on the trike. But I guess i'm getting old or just out of shape or both cause i'm still trying to get over it. Don't get me wrong, I had a great time but I guess I need to stop and rest more or take shorter rides. Another thanks to Murphy Brown and her helpers for putting this all together.

Glad y'all had a good time!

There's an old saying that goes...'You can sleep when you get home.'

Have a nap for me...:)

If you're wearing an open face helmet, short sleeves, etc., which exposes a lot of skin, dehydration can set in pretty quickly. This will really take a toll and wear you out. Too much sun adds to body stress. Also, if you're not wearing ear plugs the constant noise will also wear you down.

It can be a combination of things that you don't realize that will tire you out more quickly.

Rest up!

We hope to see you in Durango! Rehydrate , rest up, wash the bugs off, and make your reservations! Spyders keep you young!

I know exactly how you feel as I feel the same way if I ride for 5-7 hours in a day.

During the winter I fitted Givi brackets & side cases to my '08 GS with the anticipation of a couple of nights away. Now the time is ripe for that I am finding excuses not to do it. I'm afraid that after my first day's run I will have to hole up in a hotel for two more to recover.

Strange that, because wifey & I very recently returned from a two week auto tour of NY, PA, MD, VA, NC, TN, MS,LA, AR, KS, OK, MO, IL, IN & home. 4,500 mile & I wasn't a bit tired.

The Spyder just exhausts me. Maybe not too surprising as I'm almost 75.

What Ron said. Wife and I did 560 two weeks ago. That was over 5 days. Ride home from last stop was 150 miles with rest breaks. We were pretty tired when we got home. Riding a motorcycle (roadster) takes more mental and physical effort. Coupled with dehydration and noise, it will tire you out more.

Kudo's to that Ron. Dehydration and noise are the worst. Stop every 50-70 miles, stretch and always take a drink. Ear plugs will do wonders for fatigue.

I think pooped says it pretty well............. for the Heart of Washington ride............1728 miles with 603 the last day. But......I am ready to go again.
