Got this in my inbox. Polaris is announcing a more car-like three-wheeler called the "Slingshot."

Nothing on the specks, but the fraction of a second images make it seem more car-like.

i wouldn't even consider something like this... i'd buy a Miata first...

This is a 3 wheeled car. Not saying there is anything wrong with it. But it's just not in the same league as the Spyder.

It's not a car!

It's not a car, nor direct competition for the Spyder. Judging from these stills captured from the videos on their web page, it's a variation of the Polaris Rzr UTV converted to 3 wheels so they can make it highway legal with highway performance without having to comply with all the automobile safety standards.



It has a belt drive rear wheel, two side by side seats with high backs, steering wheel, and gear shift lever. Much more like a UTV than a motorcycle.
