• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Polaris has begun the advertising for the slingshot

Now the Morgan 3 wheeler I do like. But obviously it would have to be green, with NZRAF roundels on the side and a couple of Lewis guns mounted on the bonnet.

If the Spyder had to go I'd buy a Morgan even at the £34,000 odd they cost!

I mean just look at this thing!!

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder... I am not beholding.

Eh, I admit that I don't find the Spyder all that attractive, either. Oh, I love it *now*, but when they first came out I had ZERO interest in them purely based on its looks. Didn't see the appeal.

But, as the song goes, never make a pretty woman your wife... :p

(Don't tell my GF!!)

As for the Slingshot-- the big advantage here is that Polaris is not a boutique outfit. So, comparing it with competing niche 3-wheel manufacturers is (hopefully) a fool's errand. I can't imagine they're not SERIOUSLY focused on keeping the price low in order to establish a marketplace for these.

But, we shall all see soon enough!

I agree that spyders are weird looking machines too. It's very functional and I'm having fun with it but it won't win any beauty pageants.

Unless the slingshot has some crazy performance attributes, I see a Jeep as more functional and probably close in price point. I contemplated getting one instead of this spyder but the fun factor of riding with other bikers swayed me to stay with the spyder. Everyone around here has a bike and mostly Harley's
