• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Plugs and wires

Good day everyone,

Sometime this week I will attempt to change the plugs and wires (thanks BajaRon) in my 08 GS. Hopefully this will alleviate the misfiring I am experiencing. I am still running the OEM plugs and wires. Do you folks have any suggestions/tips and tricks that will help out the process? I always appreciate the shared experiences of the good people here. Thank you.

Well....

If all stock that front plug is a bear..though you can get it through the instrument panel I have found the best way is to remove the air box completely. On the GS it is not that hard to do. Take your time and breaks and you will manage fine...

Thanks

Thanks for the good advice. I plan on taking my sweet time. I just wish they weren't buried so deep.

I removed the air-box and replaced it with ones of JT's air filters just because the stock air-box made maintenance such a pain. Mind you I also used Bajarons Iridium Spark Plugs which means they don't need swapping so often anyway:-) Did a video at the time and the first bit from 16 seconds in may be of help just because it shows the steps for removing the airbox:
