• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Please set up a forum area for Canyon models

Please setup a Canyon forum area. Thank you!
The request has been passed on, altho I'm not sure that there's really a heap of call for it just yet - but once they actually start selling and hit the streets in a meaningful way, rather than just as the concept & the few 'not even demo' models for show that we've seen to date, I can certainly see the need. (y)

Have you ordered one?? Or have any idea when they are actually going to be released for sale??

They should come with an off road recovery insurance policy, as a one wheel drive 1000 pound machine is going to easily get stuck. Would I stop and help, or laugh, wave, and continue my ride, as it would not work well on most Arizona off road trails. And in the NW where I come from most logging roads are now gated and not open to the public like they were when I was first riding dirtbikes in the 1960's and 70's.

Good comment snoking. I'm following, but I just don't see the Canyon in rough country.
Yes it will be way too limited as to where one could ride it. And one could easily get in trouble going "down" into an area where the only way out is the way you came in. Don't even think about sand dunes!

That will be a small group!
Maybe in the beginning, but my visit to two Washington State dealers, both say they have orders for the Canyon RedRock model. LifesStyles Honda, and Paulson’s Motorsports.

IMHO, what the Canyon does is give a rider the option to tour the thousands of miles of BLM and Forest Service Roads. It would most likely be a better option for an Alaska trip. I know outside my hometown of Powell, WY there are thousands of miles to explore as I have done it in my Can Am Maverick.
That stated, it sure would not be a good choice at all on any of the well worn UTV/ATV trails where there is that big center hump in the middle of the trail/road.

As a former Alaskan (20 years) I do not see the Canyon as a viable off road machine. There are some nasty off road areas there and one is just asking to get stuck. I can already hear the tow truck company, "Your stuck where?" Based on what I have seen so far, they would be good for a lot of the dirt roads here in Arkansas. Riding down stream or creek beds, not me.

I did the Alaskan Hwy on my R1150GS some 25 years ago. I think the Canyon could do it easier than my Sea2Sky.
I do know there are folks who have done it on a Spyder RT. I believe they are members in here? Maybe they'll see this and chime in?
“Dirt roads", yes. High centered trails, probably not very good. Single track, oh no!

We drove Spyders in Alaska from 2008 until we moved in 2019. We started with GS and RS then moved on to RT's. We bought F3's when we moved to Arkansas. I did NO off roading the whole time I was there. Yes, I know people who did some of it on Spyders, but in most cases the results were not good. Rocks in drive belts were the biggest issue.

Yes! The drive belt! I wonder why they cannot enclose them like they do on CanAm Maverick side x side ??

I rode the Alcan highway to and from Alaska on my 2019 F3 in 2023. Neither the fellow riding the HD Limited who rode with me nor I had any significant problems. That said, if I ride to Alaska again, I will seriously consider renting an Adventure bike.
