• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Please, let's be CAREFUL and observant out there...

Thanks for reading GwdToday - Everyday!

A motorcycle rider was injured when his motorcycle was struck by another car on S Main Street near Walgreen’s at about 1 p.m. Tuesday.
According to officials with the Greenwood Police Department, a 1998 Pontiac was attempting to make a left-hand turn onto S Main Street from one of the side access roads near Church’s Chicken. The motorcycle was travelling north on S Main Street in the lane closest to the median. A van was travelling north on S Main Street in the lane closest to the curb and obstructed the Pontiac driver’s view. The van slowed to make a turn and the Pontiac pulled out, striking the motorcycle in the side.
Officials said that the motorcycle rider was not wearing a helmet and ejected from the motorcycle. He was transported to Self Regional Medical Center by Greenwood County EMS for treatment of his injuries, the extent of which
is unknown at this time. The driver of the Pontiac was cited for failure to yield the right of way.[/TD]

Probably just another distracted driver. I have worked in LE for several years, and unfortunately see this kind of thing all of the time. Hopefully, the motorcycle driver has only minor injuries, and the medical transport was just precautionary.

I have a white Spyder and always (well 99.9%) wear high vis yellow jacket. If I'm riding 2-up, the wife has high vis yellow too. Even with this, I'm never amazed at the amount of innatentive drivers there are. They may not be "texting" but they sure to a load of other crap besides driving.

 I would hazard a guess that the extra "bulk" of the Spyder's design would do a lot to reduce the number of times that this might happen to one of us... I hope!

we do all that we can to be safe, but there is always someone out there either on their cell phone, or texting, or putting on makeup (no offence ladies), or doing something that takes their attention off their surroundings

we all need to be extra careful, and if you ever get that 'sense', that 'feeling' that something is wrong... slow down and be extra careful
