• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Can someone help me please...
Here is the situation...
I get a new battery for my bike but it starts up high idling... like 3-3.5 thousond rpm so i wait like 5 seconds turn it off and try again. its perfect. it rides great all day. Pull it in the garage and i try to start it again and i click the button and the whole bike shuts down... It wont light up or do its diagnostics test or anything it wont even light up. So i take the battery back and they charge it for 3 days. I get home and i put it in and it does the same thing but only this time i wait a little and it jumps to 5,500 rpm by its self i might add. I turn off the bike and didnt turn it back on... I think the first time it did it it messed up my battey but idk. Plz tell me whats goin on! thanx

:dontknow:
I don't know why it's revving like that ,But that battery is bad as in take it back and get a new one, Charging wont help it.
No battery needs 3 days to be fully charged.:yikes:

A loose cable on the negative side would cause this. The battery wont recharge consistently while riding if the cable on the terminal is loose.

Soory for the questions but that means it didnt screw on all the way or is it something internal?

I had high RPMs when I had too much electrical draw on some 3rd party stuff (Hids, heated grips, LEDs, stereo , etc). You may want to check the output of the battery with a meter to see what voltage you are getting.

loose batt .cables, lose relays,or fusess.make sure there all tight.if so must be a bad battery.:f_spider::D:chat:

My Spyder was doing the exact same thing in Cuba-- battery was down to 5 volts.....

Swapped the battery.. all was good--- UNTIL I tried to hook up my givi bags with the lights in them...... popped 2 fuses... limp mode... all kinds of craziness.....

Bag light wire was frayed and shorting out.

Do you have any accessories that could be shorting out?

Hey thanks for the compliment and sorry for the delay in replying. It could be loose at the battery terminal (under the left side, rear panel) or the terminal under the seat.
