• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Please Don't Feed The Lions!!

That's what happens when the Bunny Huggers watch all those lovey, dovey nature shows that portray all the animals as cute and huggable.

Cute to look at--but very dangerous to get to close to.

The local news showed five black bears munching grass from a fresh cut lawn in South Anchorage yesterday. They looked like they did not have a care in the world. One local took pictures, but gave them plenty of room.

I cannot get the picture to transfer. See KTUU news for the clip.

When we were in Yellowstone I could not believe how many people wanted to get close to bears and bison for a selfie. Every year we hear about tourists being gored or trampled by elk or moose here in the mountains, all because they couldn't comprehend the "wild" part of the word wildlife. And yet it keeps happening.. every fall the elk come down into mountain towns and city folks flock up to see them and get hurt. Uh... it's the rutting season, bull elk roaming around full of hormones! Duh!

A humorous bit from real life:

When I was a regular doing wilderness canoeing, I was always a bit afraid going down those portage trails with my canoe on my shoulders. Afraid I would run into a large moose thinking I was an opponent worthy of taking on--with my 22 ft. rack.

It never happened--but we did encounter one big bull on the trail one time. I was wearing a packsack that time--the canoe had already crossed the portage on the first trip.:yes:

Are the Darwin Awards given posthumously or can some fingerless fool still win one..? :yikes::roflblack::roflblack:

I dunno...............................but that lion looked like he wanted more than fingers to me!

If they ever do come up with a real Jurassic Park--------I can only imagine how that will turn out when the idiots flood in and try to take "selfies"! :yikes: Human! It's what's for dinner! :D
