• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Platinum or Gold Dealers?

I bought my Spyder from Jet World in Castaic, Ca . The owners Name is Dan. He has treated me very well. He is a platinum dealer.

Thanks Nils - they are the dealer that I am very happy with.

BTW, did you get your wheel pull fixed? I know that you were going to get a new tire & was hoping that solved everything.

Yes I did get both front tires changed. One was replaced under warranty and I bought the other one. The pull is gone. We just did a 700 mile ride over the weekend. It road
like a dream. I got the Tri Axsis handle bars. They made such a nice improvement. :D

What color are you getting??

Glad that the tires were the fix!

I'm looking for an RT SM6, which only comes in white or black and are extremely difficult to find. I don't want the SE, but I may end up with one. As for color, I want white or cognac but I'll have to see what inventory is left when we're ready to buy. :D

My local dealer is platinum and the one I bought my RTS from was a gold. The gold dealer got the first 14's in and the local dealer was pissed!

After I road Ann's I thought I should have bought a SM6. But after this weekends long ride I am happy I got the SE6. After the hundreds of corners and shifts was happy
not to deal with a clutch and foot shifter. You know what else is cool about the SE6 is you can up shift in the middle of a corner with out letting off the throttle. The gear
change dose not upset the spyder in the corners.:D

Just a question, since you bought a stock RTS - is there anything that you wished you would've gotten on it now?

Okay Nils, this all your fault, LOL. I emailed the dealer back asking about the SE6 :D We drive a lot of twisty's and shifting on the GS in the turns can get a little cumbersome.

akspyderman has once again

Thank you for the support. What I posted is my story, and I'm sticking to it. BRP is most likely not going to post what all goes into the determination of Silver, Gold, and Platinum dealership ratings. That is dealer information and not customer information. Time also changes parameters.

posted factually. The parameters do change and in fact are changing again. While I appreciate the posts made by BRP staff, too many here seem to accept as the total truth anything posted on a subject. And the fact is they do not always post the total info. What BRPcare posted was correct. It is what he did not post. And it seems it was a dealer who supported the post. I know he is new, and when he gets a call about validation, he will know what is missing.

I was going to mention similar, but you did it better than I would have. Thanks.

Here is a photo of my white 2014 Spyder RT-S SE6. The SE6 trans shifts so smooth with the paddle shift.
The Russell custom seat with backrest allows me to ride 400+ mile days!!
The 1330 triple motor has awesome torque/power. Great mileage 32-37.5 mpg.
I love the wailing sound of motor, when shifting 4,000-6,500 rpm pulls strong!!
I have 3,600 miles in 2 months, enjoy riding it!!
I lived in Santa Clarita, California over 40 years, really enjoyed PCH coast & mountain rides!!
Owner Dan at Jetworld gives an honest deal & good service after.
I think you would enjoy the BRP vented windshield, for more airflow to face area.
I think you will also enjoy the 3 position adjustable side vents, for 80-95 deg summer days ryding.
Enjoy your 2014 RT when you get it!!!
Jim
