• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

my throttle cable sleeve or what ever its called is cracked due to changing grips. have tried, gorilla glue, jb weld ,but they dry too hard and crack off after couple days.i just know its going to brake all the way then. I'am screwed as not enough left to even gripto get it home if this happens..:yikes:have ordered a new one which comes with grip .cant buy just the sleeve.new parts # say's sleeve alone no longer available by it's self
about $25.00 so i ordered new sleeve and grip $45.00 + and was told about a week because they showed 800 in stock after 2 weeks no part!!!
and now telll me on back order.so just staying close to home and wifey
wont ride at all  so any thoughts on a type of glue that will stick and stay and possibley does'nt become brittle...as i think it gonna take dealer FOREVER:dontknow:

I don't know of anything that is a sure fire fix but there must be some type of epoxy out there that can get you through the time gap of getting the new sleeve. The key to most any of those glues or epoxies working is the part prep.

As I was just thinking, I wonder if something like plastic model glue will work. Something that actually melts two pieces of plastic together.

Anyways, good luck with whatever you work out for the problem.

The most readily available thing out there is called Plastic Mender, I believe. Mixes in two parts, like epoxy, but is made for plastics. Won't work on all types, though. It forms kind of a gooey paste, so may build up inside and out, requiring trimming, but the plastics it sticks to, it sticks to real well. Available at most hardwares and home centers. There are other products, but they must be ordered, and cost at least half as much as the throttle parts. Leave the Plastic Mender overnight for best results. Hope the residual from what you have already used does not cause problems. If you know someone with a plastic welder, and the right rod for the type of plastic you have, this works best, but few folks or facilities own them. Always wanted one for myself. Maybe someday...

Just go to www.xoprodox.com and order aftermarket grips. Their throttle heads is made of metal and less likely to break. I broke mine and same old story it take weeks to get bla bla bla. I called Alex and he sent me my grips overnight with the right heads and I was riding the next day! Now its not the cheapest way out, so be prepared.

I would say just compare any 2 cable throttle sleeve the have in stock at a cycle shop...they can't be too different!

thank's to all...dealer called tuesday and part was in..WOW. so it only took 10 days to get . again thanks to all the replys
