• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

plane crash at LAG airport in new york

Wow..!!

guess the engines aren't enough..but once you hit the brakes and start a skid it gets hairy...glad they all got of safely with minor injuries. Heard on the radio that shortly after it began leaking fuel to boot...:yikes: :bowdown:clean up on isle one..!!

Very glad to hear that no one was injured or killed in the incident. Skidding off the runway or worse has always been a concern for me when considering flying in the winter.

Well, it wasn't really a crash. This is the third one in a week to skid off the runway in bad weather. Once you hit reverse thrust the main gear 'gets light' as the center of gravity shifts forward. On a slick runway, no amount of wheel braking is going to help with all that weight pushing you forward.

Hi cuz,

For you that have never been in an airplane crash, let me just say that it is something that you will never forget.

I was sitting right where that door used to be. I absolutely knew that I was dead.

was just on the news that harrison ford was just involved in a pvt plane crash. they say he is banged up but good

Been there done that many times. (landing at La Guardia that is) Rumor has it he was landing down wind because the braking action was reported "good" on that runway. A lot of bad reporting and interviews from people that did not have many facts.

Glad no one was hurt.

Jack
