• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

From a "Newbie" to the clan.

Wellll.... ordered a "yeller one " with the SE5 option today . They're saying Oct / Nov - I hate to wish time away BUTTTTTTTTTTTT ...........

Anyway, what's the scoop on the Hindle exhaust. Should I have ordered it ? Should I order it seperately so I can keep the original stock one ? What's the best bang for the buck ?

Do they make an aftermarket seat that allows the rider to scoot back farther. I'm 6'3 and 250 so I need all the leg room I can get.

I saw the highway peg brackets - this should really be good since I don't have a foot shift - Only my right foot has to be able to get to the brake. With the highway peg bracket , does the curved out lower black plastic piece get in the way ?

Anything new and wonderful out there ? Fill me in ( but be gentle ... it's my first time .......)

Hey

I ordered a yellow SE5 yesterday, they told me end of aug, early sept latest. And they were confident it would be more in the aug time frame. I hope what they told me is accurate. I know some people have waited a serious long time, but i hate waiting for things like this.

Why did you pick the yellow se5? For me, it was a more fun color and ease of driving (learning curve).

Can Am Spreadsheet / Chart

The dealer showed me a bar chart that he had just got from BRP that indicated that the SE5 units wouldn't ship until October with a "guaranteed" delivery by Nov.30 - But he did say that he felt BRP was just covering their rears and that it should be here hopefully in the middle of October. I'm outside of Atlanta and he said there's 5 - 7 days shipping. But the bar chart didn't show any shipping of the SE5 options until around the 1st week of Oct.

Picked the yellow for visibility and since it looked like a Yellow Jacket.

A couple of weeks ago, my 17 yr. old son just got offered and accepted a full scholarship to play football for Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. He'll be a high school senior this fall - Seems like colleges are offering scholarships earlier and earlier evey year even before the kids Senior football season.

Also I heard that BRP was having some kind of paint problem with the red ones - don't know how true - maybe just a rumor.

The dealer should give you all the stock parts you replace with the mods. I ordered the hindle and Xenon lights. They gave me the stock pipe and original headlights when I picked my Spyder up.

Congrats on the order and on your son's scholarship. Just bought my Spyder on Saturday and absolutely love it. :2thumbs::spyder:

I too am tall, 6'3" and 330 lbs. You will want the Highway pegs. I put over on over 600 miles in two days. It is nice to stretch the legs and the plastic will not get in the way. It is nice to hear the motor and the Hindle exhaust is great.
